Embattled TD Liam Lawlor is facing a possible dismissal from a Dail Committee later today.

The Dublin West deputy will have to sit through a Fine Gael motion calling on him to step down as vice-chairman of the Oireachtas Finance and Public Service Committee.

Deputy Lawlor already has the threat of jail hanging over his head, with Justice Thomas Smyth ruling on his contempt of court charge on Monday morning.
