Clint Eastwood no longer owns America's largest-known hardwood tree.
He has lost that distinction following the discovery of an even bigger bluegum eucalyptus.
The new champion is nearly 49ft around and 141ft tall.
The rankings are decided on a scale taking into account a tree's height, trunk circumference and crown size.
The new champion has 759 points, dwarfing Eastwood's 629-point tree.
The biggest tree is in Petrolia, California, about 200 miles north of Eastwood's home in Carmel.
Eastwood's bluegum eucalyptus took first place in the official National Register of Big Trees in 2000.
The registry is revised every two years.
