Meath death: One released

One of the men who was being held by Gardai in relation to the death of the German woman, Bettina Poeschel, has been released this afternoon.

One of the men who was being held by Gardai in relation to the death of the German woman, Bettina Poeschel, has been released this afternoon.

The man was arrested along with another man and a woman in Drogheda early this morning following the discovery of Ms Poeschel’s badly decomposed body in Co Meath last week.

The man has now been released without charge but the other man and the woman are both still being held at Drogheda Garda Station under section four of the Criminal Justice Act and they have had their detention periods extended.
