GAA: Tipperary record their first win of the season

All Ireland senior hurling champions Tipperary recorded their first win of

Tipp 4-24 Derry 0-03

All Ireland senior hurling champions Tipperary recorded their first win of

the season at Nenagh when they comprehensively defeated Derry in round three

of the Allianz NHL.

With difficult underfoot conditions, Tipp completely dominated the game from

start to finish and seemed to be able to cope much better with the slippery

surface.

They led by 1-12 to 0-02 at the interval with Eoin Kelly grabbing 1-05 of

the total and six others also getting on the scoresheet.

Derry's two scores came from Gregory and Garry Biggs. Tipperary had it all

their own way in the second half also with goals from Mark O'Leary in the

12th minute and John O'Brien in the 26th and 28th minutes to give them a

very comprehensive victory indeed.
