Man in court after fatal Limerick accident

A man has been remanded in custody after a special sitting of Limerick District Court, charged in connection with yesterday's fatal road accident in Co Limerick.

A man has been remanded in custody after a special sitting of Limerick District Court, charged in connection with yesterday's fatal road accident in Co Limerick.

The 27-year-old man, who is from Iraq, was the driver of a car that was in collision with a motorbike at Reens-Ardagh on the Limerick to Kilmallock Road.

The motorcyclist, who was from Limerick, died in hospital a short time later.

The victim has not yet been named by gardaí, but it is known that he was a 35-year-old father of two.
