Govt pledges €100,000 to Caribbean flood victims

The Government has pledged to give €100,000 in aid to the victims of recent flooding in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The Government has pledged to give €100,000 in aid to the victims of recent flooding in the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

More than 500 are believed to have died when a river burst its banks and swept through the Dominican border town of Jimani on Monday morning.

Thousands of others have also been left homeless following the disaster.
