Eleven suspected members of an Islamic group linked to Osama bin Laden have been brought before a Spanish judge.

The leader of the organisation has been identified as Osama bin Laden's representative in Spain, where the group allegedly recruited people to carry out terrorist attacks.

The 11 were arrested in Madrid and Granada on Tuesday when computer material, videos, hunting rifles, swords, false identification documents and a large sum of money was also seized.

The judge will now decide whether to charge or release the 11.
