Three more candidates have been elected to the Seanad’s agriculture panel as the counting of votes continues in Leinster House.

Three more candidates have been elected to the Seanad’s agriculture panel as the counting of votes continues in Leinster House.

The latest additions to the ranks of senators are Fine Gael’s Paddy Burke, Fianna Fail’s Peter Callanan and his party colleague Jim Walsh.

They join Francie O’Brien of Fianna Fail and Kathleen O’Meara of the Labour Party, who were elected to the agriculture panel last night.

So far, 12 of the 60 Seanad seats have been filled, with counting of Trinity College and National University of Ireland votes also underway.
