Bill Clinton could be about to make his debut as a movie star in the next James Bond film.

According to Sky News, Bond's producers have offered the US President a cameo role when he leaves office in a few days' time.

Clinton is said to be fascinated by the idea of moving from politics to acting, although his role in the film wouldn't be much different from his current day job.

The scene in which he may appear involves Bond attending a reception at the White House with Clinton playing the President.

The next Bond film isn't due to be released until 2002.
