Gardaí have arrested 10 men today at what they suspect may be a training camp for the Continuity IRA.

Gardaí made the arrests this afternoon when they carried out a search at a forest near the Tipperary-Waterford border.

Members of the Special Detectives Unit and the National Surveillance Unit seized a number of firearms, a quantity of ammunition and other paramilitary paraphernalia.

Gardaí say the exact location of the camp cannot be revealed as their investigation is ongoing.

The scene has been sealed off as detectives plan to examine the site again tomorrow.

The 10 men arrested are thought to be from Limerick, Waterford and Wexford.
