Police in the North have arrested three men in connection with rioting in the Short Strand area of east Belfast on May 11 and 12.

Police in the North have arrested three men in connection with rioting in the Short Strand area of east Belfast on May 11 and 12.

The men were arrested after police raided houses on both sides of the sectarian divide.

The Short Strand area has seen violent rioting between rival loyalist and nationalist youths in recent weeks, with police accusing the UDA, the UVF and the IRA of orchestrating the clashes.
