Cork half-back Sean Og O'hAilpin will miss Sunday's Guinness Munster Senior Hurling Championship match against Limerick following a car crash.

O'hAilpin was involved in a collision in Tipperary last night and was kept overnight in hospital in Nenagh.

The former dual player was transferred to Cork University Hospital today and will undergo surgery on a knee injury later this afternoon.

It is feared that the Na Piarsaigh man could be out for the rest of the summer.

Eire Og's Brian Corcoran could now come into play from the start - the Cork centre-back was only named amongst the substitutes for the game following a hand injury.
