Parades Commission rules against Orangemen

The Parades Commission has banned this year's Drumcree Orange march from passing down the nationalist Garvaghy Road in Portadown.

The Parades Commission has banned this year's Drumcree Orange march from passing down the nationalist Garvaghy Road in Portadown.

The Order is refusing to talk directly to the Commission or to representatives of the Garvaghy Rd Residents Coalition.

Coalition spokesman Brendan MacCionnaith welcomed the decision, which he described as the only logical one which could be made.
