An opinion poll today shows Sinn Fein has more than twice the level of voter support as Labour.
The survey conducted by Ipsos/MRBI on behalf of the Irish Times asked 1,000 people which party they would vote for if there was a General Election tomorrow.
A total of 10% opted for Labour, a three-point slip, while 24% said Sinn Féin - a three-point gain for Gerry Adams' party.
There was also good news for Fianna Fáil which increased support by three points to 17%.
Fine Gael was down one point to 32%, and Independents and others were down two points to 15%.
