The Taoiseach is denying that either he or Sports Minister Dr Jim McDaid misled the Dáil on the estimated cost of the National Stadium.

The Taoiseach is denying that either he or Sports Minister Dr Jim McDaid misled the Dáil on the estimated cost of the National Stadium.

Documents released under the Freedom of Information Act seemed to suggest the stadium would cost £100m more than the original price tag of £550m.

However, Taoiseach Bertie Ahern told the Dáil that these papers are old and irrelevant.
