The Revenue Commissioners have said a record number of tax returns were filed online this year.

The Revenue Commissioners have said a record number of tax returns were filed online this year.

More than 303,000 returns were filed by midnight last night using Revenue's online service.

The figure represents an increase of 8.6% on the total number of returns last year.

A record 42,760 returns were filed on the last day before the deadline.
