Boston Scientific has announced plans to transfer manufacturing from its Letterkenny base to its Galway site.

Boston Scientific has announced plans to transfer manufacturing from its Letterkenny base to its Galway site.

The move follows a review of the medical device firm's operations in Ireland.

The 120 people employed at the Co Donegal plant are being given the option to move to Galway before the Letterkenny facility closes in 2010.

Boston Scientific, which employs 4,500 people at four facilities across the country, says it remains strongly committed to Ireland and its Irish operations.
