Newcastle United have confirmed that striker Craig Bellamy will face a severe reprimand after being found guilty of breaching club discipline.

The 22-year-old will face an undisclosed penalty after being cautioned by police for an incident of common assault on a 21-year-old woman.

His team-mates, Carl Cort and Wayne Quinn, who were present at the time of the assault, but were not involved, have also been censured for being out in the early hours of the morning, while Kieron Dyer, who had earlier picked his colleagues up, was cleared of any wrongdoing.
