Galway 3-24 3-5 Leitrim

Minus the Donnellan brothers, Galway posted their championship intentions when they went on a scoring spree against hapless Leitrim at Tuam Stadium.

Shane Canning gave Leitrim a great start with a goal in the second minute, but two goals from Galway full-forward Padraig Joyce helped the home side to a 2-8 1-1 half-time lead.

Canning and Adrian Charles goaled for Leitrim in the second-half but Galway dominated and Joyce completed his hat-trick of goals as the Tribesmen sent over points from all angles.

Galway manager, John O'Mahony, will be pleased with the returning Ja Fallon, Kevin Walshe, Derek Savage and Gary Fahy.

But Joyce was the star of the show with a contribution of three goals and three points and Galway face Roscommon in the Provincial semi-final at Tuam on June 2.
