A US medical firm is to create 30 jobs in Co Mayo over the next three years by establishing a financial services centre in Westport.

A US medical firm is to create 30 jobs in Co Mayo over the next three years by establishing a financial services centre in Westport.

The IDA-supported investment will serve as the central European, African and Middle Eastern office of Advanced Medical Optics.

AMO, which is based in California, is the world's largest contact lense care company and second-largest surgical firm.
