3,000 attend anti-US protest in Indonesia

More than 3,000 Muslims have marched in front of a local parliament building in Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province today in the fourth day of protests against the continuing US attacks on Afghanistan.

More than 3,000 Muslims have marched in front of a local parliament building in Indonesia’s Central Sulawesi province today in the fourth day of protests against the continuing US attacks on Afghanistan.

Police said the crowd burned three US flags and chanted: "Go to hell, America", but there were no reports of any violence.

Ridvan Andi Usman, the protest organiser, said: "We condemn the US attacks against Afghanistan and call for the Government to freeze Indonesia’s diplomatic relations with America."
