FÁS gives pre-retirement execs eight weeks extra holidays

The state training agency FÁS is reported to be giving executives an extra eight weeks holidays in their last two years of service to prepare for retirement.

The state training agency FÁS is reported to be giving executives an extra eight weeks holidays in their last two years of service to prepare for retirement.

Criticised over its spending practices and expenses culture, the agency confirmed to the Sunday Times it would be giving staff up to 44 days of extra leave on top of their usual holidays

It is understood that while the extra time is intended for post-retirement training, many employees simply take the time off.
