Thousands of Irish holidaymakers heading off to the Balaeric Islands

Thousands of Irish holidaymakers heading off to the Balaeric Islands are facing long delays at the airport when they get there.

A strike by bus drivers in the popular hotspots of Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza

are leaving tourists stranded for up to twelve hours before they can get transport to their hotels and apartments.

It is hoped that an intervention by the Spanish government can settle the dispute.
