Dublin's Christie nearing a return

2005 Leinster championship-winning captain Paddy Christie has been included in the Dublin panel for a challenge match against Derry on Saturday.

Christie, who had no involvement in the National League due to an ongoing groin injury, returned to training earlier this month and is expected to play some part in the Lusk encounter (throw-in 3.30pm).

Saturday's clash with Derry marks the centenary of the Round Towers club in Lusk.

Meanwhile, Dublin forward Senan Connell's injury jinx continues as he recovers from a hamstring strain picked up in a recent outing for Na Fianna.

Connell had been nursing a groin injury since late last year.

Collie Moran, this year's Dublin captain, is also sidelined after a groin injury and foot infection.

David Henry, Ciaran Whelan and Jason Sherlock will also skip the Derry game as they recover from last night's Dublin SFC first round replay between Na Fianna and Raheny.
