Former Anglo boss McAteer released

Gardaí have released the former finance director of Anglo Irish Bank, Willie McAteer.

Gardaí have released the former finance director of Anglo Irish Bank, Willie McAteer.

He was arrested in Dublin for a second time yesterday in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the bank.

Mr McAteer, who is in his 60s, was released from Irishtown garda station in the early hours of this morning.

A file will be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
