Esat BT has today announced the launch of Esat BT Data Storage, combining Esat BT's network, hosting and security expertise with EMC's automated network storage solutions.

This latest offering enhances Esat BT's storage portfolio by extending customers' options to include keeping all their information networked on-site, outsourcing management completely, or retaining some data on-site whilst backing up the rest at a secure Esat BT data centre.

Esat BT Data Storage is comprised of 'best of breed' solutions from both companies and offers customers the opportunity to benefit from the substantial capital and skill investment Esat BT has made in deploying one of the most advanced EMC business continuity solutions in Ireland.

Bill Murphy, chief executive officer, Esat BT said: "This new offering to our customers is unique in that it provides them with a complete end to end storage solution, helping them gain business efficiencies and reduce costs."

Tony Quinn, sales manager, EMC Ireland said: "EMC has selected Esat BT to provide a unique end-to-end solution proposition to the Irish market. Our combined skill sets will bring tremendous benefits to our mutual customers."
