Fog causes diversions at Shannon Airport

Some flights are being diverted from Shannon to other airports because of persistent fog.

Aer Rianta officials said the airport is not closed, but diversions and delays continue to be a problem.

Certain planes equipped with new radar enabling them to touch down safely are continuing to land at Shannon, but others are being diverted to alternative airports, such as Cork.
