Guatemalan plane crash kills five

A small plane has crashed in the mountains of northern Guatemala killing the two Guatemalans and three Mexicans who were on board.

A small plane has crashed in the mountains of northern Guatemala killing the two Guatemalans and three Mexicans who were on board.

The single-engine Cessna 182 took off from Coban, 130 miles northeast of the capital Guatemala City, and crashed about 40 miles into its flight to the highlands town of Chisec.

Carlos Castaneda, a spokesman for the country's civil aviation authority, said the cause of the crash was uncertain.
