The construction boom will continue for the next couple of years before slowing down slightly as we approach 2010, according to a new FAS report on future skills in the industry, published today.
The report also says that employment in the sector will fall by 20,000 between then and now as supply and demand for housing begins to reach equilibrium.
Its author, John McGrath, says despite this decrease, there will remain a significant amount of job opportunities in construction.
