Higher proportion of 50-plus workers in jobs

A new report published today shows that the proportion of people aged between 50 and 69 years in employment has risen since the mid 1990s.

A new report published today shows that the proportion of people aged between 50 and 69 years in employment has risen since the mid 1990s.

This reverses a long term downward trend.

The report, which was carried out by the Equality Authority, also shows that the employment rate of Irish older men and women is high by EU standards.
