Iesy selects Interactive Enterprise's Conexion broadband operating system
Kabel Hessen GMbH & Co KG [Iesy], one of the largest broadband cable operators in Germany has entered into a multi-year agreement to deploy Interactive Enterprise's Conexion platform as its high speed data, voice and interactive TV services provisioning and service activation platform.
Under the brand name "iesy", Kabel Hessen is the largest cable TV network in the German province of Hessen, with 1.3 million homes connected.
The company is currently upgrading its network to a two-way broadband network to offer broadband products and services which will include the "triple-play" of digital television, telephony and internet services.
Conexion is being deployed at iesy as the broadband provisioning and services activation platform for the commercial deployment of these services, from their launch in Q1, 2002.
Irish company Interactive Enterprise was founded in 1998 by its present CEO Tom Higgins. The company now has customers and partners in Europe, the US and the Asia Pacific region.
