IFA starts fund for affected farmers

The Irish Farmers Association has announced it has set up a hardship fund for farmers affected by foot-and-mouth in Co Louth.

The Irish Farmers Association has announced it has set up a hardship fund for farmers affected by foot-and-mouth in Co Louth.

A special account has been established at the Bank of Ireland in Dundalk and the assocation has appealed for donations from the public.

A similar fund was established in midweek by the ICMSA
