Striking cabin crew at Aer Lingus have delivered a letter to management calling for meaningful talks to resolve the dispute.

The letter to Aer Lingus chief executive Michael Foley outlined the staff commitment to further talks aimed at finding a solution to the pay row.

1,400 cabin crew, represented by IMPACT, took to the picket lines today, leaving the national airline's fleet grounded.

A further one-day stoppage is planned for Friday, February 18, with two days of action likely the following week.
