The United States’ Boeing company, the world’s largest aircraft maker, today said it is to establish a new base in Dublin by opening a leasing and finance subsidiary office.
Boeing Capital Corporation said it saw the move as a significant milestone towards expanding its international presence.
The company provides financial services and solutions for Boeing products and services, and the Dublin office will source, develop and execute business from existing and new clients of the aerospace giant.
Boeing Capital Corporation President Jim Palmer said Dublin had been an obvious choice for the development.
He added ‘‘The city has established itself as an anchor in the European financial community.
‘‘In alignment with our international growth strategies, Dublin offers the right locale when considering its financial reputation, central location and available intellectual capital.’’
The Irish office will be headed by Boeing Capital Corporation senior director Cian Dooley.
